Our children would plead, hiding under the covers. We’re grateful we had the insight to truly listen and understand, even while they were in public school. Instead of dwelling on grades, we celebrated every new letter and word, nurturing their strengths and talents. We always reminded them: You are capable! You are succeeding!
Yet, the systemic “Miss Trunchbull"-figure was relentless, her endless “you must” and “you should” undermining the child’s self-assurance and overall enthusiasm for knowledge.
This struggle quickly wore us out. And so, the decision was made: We’re pulling them out of school!
